People dress up or masquerade during the celebration. The parades last from the middle of the night all the way to sunrise. Festivities include bands, floats, beauty contests, pageants and other competitions. They would eat ice cream and different types of pasta.
In Valparaiso it starts on January 21st. Differnt Chilean groups perform during tyhe Carvnaval. There are various types of music that they play during Carvnaval.

ReplyDeleteYou have given good info on the part of the food they eat. The info you gave on them being on the same day is wrong because in the U.S. it if on Feb. 21, but How is Carnaval celebrated in Valparaiso it say on the second paragraph it is in Jan. 21 not Feb. 21. You need more info on music that they play on Carnaval and on Mardi Gras. You have to blog about the Krewes espicially on the Rex Krewe. You have good visuals and videos. You need more about traditions, which, you have vary little on many of the subjects. You have good presentations, but it needs work.
